Camino de Santiago - Day 7

Today we came across these ruins of el hospital built in 1512 for peregrinos to receive care along the Camino de Compostela de Santiago. (I am trying to practice my Spanish!) We took a siesta and lay on the cool rocks feeling the energy of past peregrinos and those who cared for them. We let the energy of the rocks soothe our tired bodies... I am sure the last 10k felt lighter and brighter!

Rather than sleep on the rocks all night (:-) we stayed at the most lovely hotel Las Aguedas where we treated ourselves to clean clothes, soft beds, the most warm and inviting atmosphere, local wine, and our finest meal to date prepared and served by our host Rocio Juesas.

Buen Camino!
